Turkey dismisses thousands of civil servants with new decree law

The Turkish government introduced a new decree law dismissing 4,464 public servants on Tuesday. 16 people under investigation were reinstated to their positions.

More than 125,000 officials have been dismissed from their positions since last July’s coup attempt. Some 40,000 people from the military, police and other sectors have been arrested.
