Turkey’s Erdogan equates high interest rates with treason

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Wednesday that high interest rates are a tool of exploitation and he would continue to keep the issue on the agenda.

He was speaking at a meeting of Turkey‘s TOBB Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges. Erdogan often rails against the high cost of credit in Turkey, and has equated high interest rates with treason.
