Where to Park at Bradley International Airport

If you’re flying out of Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, or picking up someone who’s flying in, you have a range of short-term and long-term parking choices both at the airport and from a variety of nearby private airport parking firms and you also have the best transfer from Palma airport to Alcudia.

At the Airport

Bradley International Airport offers several lots that are served by around-the-clock shuttle buses as well as a parking garage directly across the street from Terminal A. Which lot is best for your needs depends in part on which airline you’re flying on, how long you’ll be away and how much you’re willing to spend.

The parking garage, which can accommodate 3,500 cars, is the most convenient option for travelers using Terminal A, which is served by AmericaWest, Continental, Continental Express, Delta, Northwest/KLM, Southwest, United, United Express, USAirways, and USAirways Express.

Travelers who park in the garage only have to cross the street to reach Terminal A (there are two covered walkways to the departures level), which means you’ll barely be exposed to the weather as you take your luggage between your car and the terminal. Similarly, if you’re picking someone up, it’ll take less than five minutes to go from the baggage claim area to your car.

This convenience comes with a price, and the garage is the most expensive option for Bradley International Airport parking. Short-term rates start at $2.50 for up to 30 minutes, $4.50 for 30 to 60 minutes, and reach $24.00 for seven to 24 hours.

Long-term garage parking starts at $2.50 for up to a half-hour, and costs reach $20.00 for seven to 24 hours and $69.00 for five to seven days.

Outside the garage, the airport offers several parking options. Lot B is within walking distance of Terminal B, which is served by Air Canada Jazz, American, American Eagle, charters, international departures, and Midwest Express. The daily rate in Lot B is $16.00, and the weekly rate is $69.00 for five to seven days.

The airport also offers four lots that are served by shuttle vans and buses. Hourly, daily and weekly rates vary according to their distance from the terminals, with the most expensive weekly rate being Long Term Lot 1’s $55.00. The cheapest lot is Economy Lot 4, which offers daily rates of $7.00 and weekly rates of $42.00.

One helpful tip: Take a photo of your car and write down its location in whichever parking lot you choose. The shuttle drivers have several stops to make and might get a bit impatient at travelers who don’t remember where their car is parked.

Outside the Airport

A number of private airport parking firms are a short drive from Bradley International Airport. Most offer a choice of valet or self-park options, and shuttle vans will pick you up from your terminal and drive you to your car. Most offer online coupons offering discounts from their published rates and customer loyalty programs, and some offer additional services such as car washes while you’re away on your trip.

  • Navistar/Fast Track (three locations on Ella Grasso Turnpike, Route 75). Rates range between $4.40 to $8.39 a day
  • Executive Valet, Route 75. Rates are $7.50 per day and $37.50 per week, with coupons.
  • Roncari Express Valet Parking, 9 Schoephoester Road, Windsor Locks, CT. Rates are $10.95 per 24 hours and $65.70 per week.
  • Z Airport Parking, 3 International Drive East Granby, CT. Rates are $6.49 per day (park for six days and the seventh is free).

The best choice for you probably depends on how long you’ll be away, the season and how much you’re willing to spend for parking. With such a wide range of options, the odds are pretty good you’ll be able to meet a parking lot or service that meets your needs.
